Justus Harris

Justus Harris began working with Community Business Lenders in January 2018 as a Senior Credit Analyst. In January 2020, he started his role as Deputy Credit Officer and Chief Information Officer; in March 2024 he was promoted to Chief Credit Officer. Justus graduated from Buena Vista University in 2013 with a degree in business economics and shortly thereafter commenced his commercial lending career with a publicly traded financial institution. During his time at BVU he was a member of the track & field team and was also an Academic Assistant in statistics.

Justus has built a career on using technology to modernize commercial lending procedures and as CBL’s first-ever Chief Information Officer, he has focused on leveraging technology to facilitate continued loan portfolio growth. Justus has over a decade of experience underwriting commercial real estate loans including individual projects in excess of $25 million. He is also the Microsoft and nCino system administrator for the company and has overseen a number of IT project implementations.

Justus lives in Norwalk, Iowa and is married with two young children. Hobbies include personal fitness (including walks with the family’s Goldendoodle), playing outside with his kids, learning golf, and enjoying local restaurants and breweries. Justus grew up in Ames, Iowa, and is a lifelong fan of Cyclone athletics.
